Demand and Response (DAR)

Demand and Response (DAR) is a curb-to-curb service. DAR only operates within the Globe/Miami/Claypool area. DAR can take passengers to grocery stores, work, school, medical appointments. This service is available to everyone, however, priority is given to seniors and disabled persons. We ask that passengers call at least 24 hours ahead to schedule a ride (same day rides are charged an additional $2). DAR can schedule rides up to 2 weeks in advance. Rides are scheduled according to availability. DAR fills up quickly, please call as much in advance as possible. Passengers are allowed 3 trips per day, per policy and procedures.

DAR is not emergency medical transportation. 


Fares

$1 per zone (DAR is divided into 4 zones). DAR zones are shown on the bus route map.

Example: If you are picked up in Zone 1 and your destination is in Zone 2, that is 2 zones and would be $1 for zone you are picked up in and destination zone another $1, a total of $2; return ride would be the same amount. Total for pickup and return rides would be $4. If your pickup, destination and return ride are all within one zone, it would only be $1 each way, a total of $2. The most DAR would cost one way is $4 (unless it a same day ride, there is a $2 same day fee paid at initial pickup only). If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call us.

Monthly DAR Pass - $55 (available from driver, Town Hall)

  • Monday-Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Within Globe/Miami/Claypool area

 

Copper Mountain Transit DAR service is not available on the following holidays: 

  • New Year's Day
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

 

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

(Abusive behavior, language, intoxication will not be tolerated.

Per Copper Mountain Transit Policy and Procedures consummation of alcohol, open alcohol containers are not permitted on DAR vans or Fixed Route buses at any time.)
